Tuscany Day 1!

We woke up to the chickens and donkeys and went down for our cake breakfast! Some pictures with Luccia & Mossimo and then we were off! We just loved them! Such wonderful hosts!!

bye bye donkeys! we love you!

 Our amazing hosts!

Annnd we're off! Tuscany here we come!

Once we got closer, Opal started to wake up and we sang her an original. We also saw a wild pheasant, but we couldn't get its picture.

And of course, we got lost trying to get there, but we ran in to some Italians also trying to get there so we just all started following each other!  On our drive we saw a turtle! Couldn't stop to take its pic because we didn't want to loose our Italian navigators!

our Italian navigators

We made it to our agriturismo! A little busier than our last...seems to be a very popular restaurant here and there was a wedding celebration as well as a christening celebration. But we got settled in to our room and we were off to the town of Monticiello. We also found out that we are vacationing with the Obabmas!!!! Michele was just shopping in this cute town the day before! And where they are staying is less than an hour away from us!!!

The Obamas!!!

Walking the streets!

AND, apparently we are traveling with the Obamas!!! Michele was just shopping in the town we went to!!! Pretty cool!

A lovely day again and we did some Italian shopping! This time, both Sara & Peter scored!

And it made us hungry so we stopped for a little lunch of pizza and salad and salad on pizza! Whoops! The wine was lovely and so was the time.

our table with a view...

cheers! wine in tuscany!

 our salad pizza!

Opal's fav move now!

After lunch, we found a farmer's market--Dad you can always come and sell candles here!! And of course, a quick stop in a wine shop :)

And back to our agriturismo! Opal was asleep so Sara played with the horses and once she awoke, we sat on the lawn by the pool overlooking Tuscany. Not bad, not bad at all! Very excited for dinner here!

The uncle of one of the agriturismo owner's was the one who was celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary! Everyone had cleared out except for us and the family, and they invited us for snacks and wine and great conversation before dinner!! We feel so lucky to be here, and the only ones staying here right now!! Opal also made a best friend, little Rebecca who took her all around while we were eating dinner. She didn't speak any English, but it was a perfect friendship! It was amazing, the owner, Isabella, was so sweet, she took Opal from us so we could eat!!! Loving Tuscany!

Chatting with the Uncle! Not a bad view here!

 Our table for 3!

Peter has wine and meats, he is in heaven!

Opal has been taken and we were thrilled!

But don't worry, Opal was fine and having the best time!!!

Opal and her besties Isabella and Rebecca!

She came back for food of course!

 Oh, the desserts!!!!!

A little more wine, some chocolates, and aperitifs and we were straight to bed!

After a difficult diaper change!
